Do you usually think of how to make your life perfect and improve your quality of life?
Do you find yourself looking at other people’s lives and thinking how good they are?
We often want to improve our life but instead of focusing on ourselves, we tend to focus on the lives around us more. Instead of reflecting on our day and assessing what we supposed to do to get a better life for ourselves are, we spend time thinking about how other people manage their life so well.
It is really important to focus on yourself first to be aware of your life to live a happy and perfect life.

What do we mean by ‘focus on yourself’?
The most important thing that we need to understand is that focusing on ourselves is not selfish.
To stop comparing yourself to others is what it means. Don’t worry about what others accomplish or how it compares to what you’re doing. You won’t get any better by doing this. everyone has their way to succeed. They might not have what you have right now but you won’t realize that.
Instead of thinking about what other people think of you, take action on how you can achieve what you think of yourself to the fullest potential.
How To Achieve This?
To focus on yourself, you need to be crystal clear about a few things:
- What is your goal?
- What do you think is going to benefit you?
- What do you want to achieve in life?
- What kind of a person do you want to be?
If you know the answer to these questions you can definitely focus on yourself well as you will be busy enough building a lifestyle for yourself and working on your goals, that you don’t get time to focus on others.
How to focus on yourself and not others?
1. Practice journaling
Journaling is basically writing down how was your day and how you are feeling to easily grasp your thoughts and feelings. Journaling helps you to reflect on your thoughts and life at the end of the day so that you can take steps to improve your life every day. If you practice journaling you will be busy with yourself and won’t focus on others.
2. Do something for yourself
After a busy week, relaxing with something for yourself, like a hobby or trip, is a great way to relax. You can rest, reenergize, and think back on the previous week’s events when you have some downtime. Some ‘me time’ will boost your confidence and focus. It is very important to take care of ourselves and our mental health.
3. Set boundaries and stick to them
You need to practice assertiveness if you want to work on yourself, especially if you’re busy or you want some time to reflect on yourself. Saying no to people might sound selfish but it helps you to put yourself first when you need to. It helps to boost your self-esteem as well.
4. Self embracement
Stop worrying about what people say or think about you. We all have different issues and different talents. We are unique in our own way. So don’t waste your valuable energy thinking about what people think of you and embrace yourself the way you are.
Put an end to any self-deprecating thoughts and decide to be optimistic in every situation.
5. Practice gratitude
One of the best ways to be happier is to express gratitude. We feel better about ourselves and our lives when we are grateful for what we already have. If you are grateful for your life you won’t focus on others and what they have. Give up personalizing everything. You must learn to set aside your feelings in order to concentrate on yourself.
Summary
Worrying a little less about what others think of you can give you a lot more freedom. One of the most essential talents you may gain is the capacity for self-reliance and happiness.
When you actually live life on your terms, you will be able to share positivity with confidence knowing that even though no one really cares, you are accomplishing your own goals and living the life you have always imagined.
